Do you travel outside of Sioux Falls area?

We are based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and do not charge a travel/mileage fee for clients with 100 miles. For clients over 100 miles we have a small travel/mileage fee of $2 per mile.

Are your services limited to the Upper Midwest or do you also travel?
Our service is available nationwide. Cost is dependent on location and extent of travel but we are happy to discuss the details based on your location and specific needs.

PREPARATION

What do I need to do to prepare for the day of filming?
Start by talking with your family and deciding which areas of life you’d like to focus on - specific stories, events, or experiences you want to be sure to include. If you’re a investing in a 'Full Story or Deeper Dive', also gather the photos, documents, or other items you’d like us to incorporate into your video so we can capture them during filming. Before your interview we will send you our ‘Prep Guide’ which will answer all your questions and concerns.

DAY OF FILMING

Where will the interview take place?

When we arrive at your home, we’ll work with you to choose the best location - considering both the background and the natural lighting.

How long will the filming session be?

When we arrive, we’ll set up our camera(s), lighting, and audio equipment - a process that usually takes about 30 minutes. The interview itself will last anywhere from 30 minutes to four hours, depending on the Legacy Video package you’ve chosen.

That sounds like a long day.

We take frequent breaks to ensure you have plenty of time to rest, and we’re always attentive to your comfort and enjoyment throughout the process.

FINAL VIDEO

How will the final video be viewed?
With all our packages you will have private access to view and share your final video, in addition to the hard copy digital files (except Legacy Mini) we provide to you to use as you like.

How long does it take to receive the finished product?
The finished videos will be available approximately one month after the day of filming, ask for special rush service if you have a deadline.

PRICING

How much is the video?

Our packages start at $950. We have flexible package choices with many add-ons to create the perfect Legacy keepsake which generations will enjoy for years to come.

PAYMENT
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept personal checks and credit cards.

​

How are the payments structured?

• A $500 advance is due when video session is booked.

• 50% of balance is due at day of filming.

• The balance is paid upon completion of the final video.

 

Is there a discount for interviewing multiple family members?
Yes, ask us about family discounts.
